The most effective way to train your pronunciation would be to use both the ebook and the audiobook. Just grab an ebook from gutenberg.org, which is also available as an audiobook on Librivox.

Look up words in different languages:

Look up the right pronunciation of british or american English

Oxforddictionaries

International Phonetic Alphabet

    Hey Daniel,
    I like reading out loud but unfortunately there’s nobody to correct my pronunciation most of the time. However, my anki cards have the pronunciation of words which makes it easier to improve my speaking skills. I can repeat after them.

      I assume for you as a French teacher it would be very easy to find a tandem partner or one of your students who is willing to check for the correct pronunciation! You could record yourself!
      But anyways, I envy you a bit for your perfect and clear pronunciation in English!
