Yeah, I totally agree with you. It’s soon time to read the book 🙂 It’s even more demotivated to know that you already have read the whole book!

But, the thing is that it’s only natural to have ups and downs in this kind of, ah, activity. It’s just the length of the intervals in that oscillating process that should be getting bigger. I guess, that’s it.

Besides all other things, I see it as an indicator whether I’m in a good shape or not. For instance, If I had speaking practice that day, it feels great to read something out loud, you find out something new about your voice and intonation, try to be conscious about difficult parts in pronunciation which gives you the feeling of getting better at English. On the other hand, when you had a shitty day, you’ve neglected your speaking practice for a while, it can be really challenging and somewhat frustrating. And this is when you see your real weaknesses, and make resolutions to study harder 🙂 So, yes it does some good to you.

Comment on E12- Interview with Chris from Canada / motivation and obstacles by Daniel http://www.myfluentpodcast.com/e12-interview-with-chris-from-canada-motivation-and-obstacles/#comment-71 Sun, 02 Apr 2017 12:56:00 +0000 http://www.myfluentpodcast.com/?p=259#comment-71 Thank you Nich for your comment. I agree with you that is’s almost impossible to learn a language in just 3 months and I do not recommend to anybody to rush when it comes to learn a language. We should take our time and enjoy! 🙂

Yeah, absolutely! I think with every language 3 month is rather too short to master the language. I guess, in 15 years, I will still be learning English…

Well, as I said, the chosen translation of the novel isn’t that old to contain anything resembling English spoken in the olden days and suitable for any modern learner. As for the story being set in the 19th century, I fail to comprehend how it makes it obsolete.
